Ferguson July 15. The Americans launched a heavy counter attack just before noon on a four mile front east of Chateau Thierry after German forces had forced a Marne crossing. George Phelps Dies After Hopes Of Recovery

George Phelps dies at 2 20 Sunday after a sinking illness following a recent illness. He was accompanied by humane Molitor to Hot Lake and expected to recover but grew worse. He was a Pensiton native, educated in Pendleton schools, and married in January to Mire Cmdys Machier. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and active in local fraternal groups. Funeral arrangements were set for Wednesday at the Cartalie charity funeral home with burial at Ulney cemetery.
