Lewiston area fruit grower William L. La Follette estimates 2000 to 2500 gallons per minute irrigation capacity will support 600 acres of orchards and a 50 carload peach crop this year. He warns frosts damage along the Columbia Snake rivers may push peach prices up about 26 percent while overall output remains sharply reduced.
