Wool buyers return from Condon sale report

Charles H. Greene of Koshland Roe says about 60,000 pounds of Gilliam county wool were sold at the Condon sale with the remainder withdrawn due to low prices. Prices ranged from 14 to 19 cents, averaging 18 cents, less than Canton due to wool cleanliness. Next sale will be at Elgin.

Mutiny in Turkish troops quelled by royal artillery

Rebellion among Turkish troops in Hodelion, Arabia, June 1, was halted when royal artillery attacked the mutineers. Hundreds were killed and the remaining mutineers surrendered after the attack. In Jefferson City, Mo, June 20, Lont J Barrington received another reprieve for the murder of James P McGunn, ordered by the supreme court.
