A car driven by John Thorny Holdman stage driver overturned several times near Duff School on the reservation. In the vehicle were Mr Kerr, Mrs Kerr, Mine Stella Power, and Herbert Franklin. Mrs Kerr suffered a fractured jaw and facial scratches while Kerr Power escaped injury by jumping. Thorn and Franklin were bruised but not seriously hurt.
In a California court on January 19 Chief Defense Counsel Burke Cochran argued the prosecution was making a gallery play by alleging Mooney Berkman and Eleanor Fite Gerald conspired to kill President Wilson. Moving pictures of the Mooney trial were taken for the first time in state history with Judge Griffin and both sides present.
