Beef Trusts Deal Creates Million-Acre Florida Alabama Feeding Ground
Four packing firms Swift Armour Nelson Morris and Schwarnchild buy 1,000,000 acres of pine and swamp lands from Louisville and Nashville Railway at 3.75 an acre in Alabama and Florida. The land will become the future feeding ground for the trust with cassava planted and cattle fed on site, shipping fat stock to packing houses as needed.
