Charleston January 6 The livestock exhibit at the exposition today is the largest of its kind ever held in the south. The exhibit numbers several thousand and includes representatives from many famous herds in the country. George F. Weston of Vanderbilt’s Blume ranch is in charge of the exhibit.

George Dacres a wealthy planner in the Walla Walla valley died after a long illness. Born in Ireland in 1829 he came to the United States 20 years later and reached the Pacific Coast in 1862 via Panama.
