Collier belongs to the law firm Collier and Collier and Huston is a popular Pendleton young woman formerly with the Bo Alexander Department Store.
From Adams comes a rumor of a Sunday street confrontation between Doc Whittely and Miss Lillian Levan. Whittely, a young farmer, allegedly thwarted a knife and gun attempt by Levan, who then fired at him, missing. A second confrontation reportedly arose as Levan pursued revenge, but no serious injuries were reported.
