Fred Marshall, a Boise teamster, discovered his daughters Bessie and Edna, aged 7 and 10, living with Mrs. I. E. Cook near Pendleton after being taken from Boise over three years ago. The kids had been disguised as strangers while their mother eloped with a man named Dan Clifford.

Pendleton Sportsmen's Association voted to offer a large cash purse and targets at three cents each for the Northwest tournament in late June. The event would be the association's largest ever, and Pendleton hopes to host the meeting. Funds will be raised through program advertising and local plans, with exact date to be decided by the local association.
Mire A M Clark of the Peoplee Warehouse travels to Hoxton and New York to study leading fashion houses. She plans to purchase a large stock of ready to wear garments, coordinating with Leon Cohen to stock Pendleton with the latest styles for the coming season and men’s wear.
