Reed Dies After Suicide Attempt in Asylum
O P Reed 25, recently confined from Benton County, cut his throat with a steel blade on Sunday. He severed both jugulars and windpipe but was found and saved until a doctor stopped the hemorrhage and sewed the windpipe. Reed died yesterday afternoon despite his initial recovery.
