Salem Journal reports a Michigan based firm is entering Oregon timber fields and acquiring thousands of acres along the Pacific Coast. Six timber claims in Dallas Falls City district totaling about 960 acres sold for 47000 per claim, total 432000, at 40 to 50 cents stumpage with market value near double.
