Washington December 2. It is reported that President Taft contemplates appointing Judge John Pollock of Kansas to the Supreme Court. Roosevelt appointed Pollock to the federal bench in 1893.
Chicago report says Count de Beaufort swore out a warrant against Michael Kilgallen alleging an assault in his office on October 24. He claims Kilgallen mashed his face after he refused to leave his sick wife, who tabloids claim was hurt when the count allegedly threw her down stairs.
Chicago December 2 Jack Johnson surprised sports by proving his capital. He secured an option on property valued at sixty thousand dollars at State and Thirty first streets. The property includes an auditorium two dance halls and several lodging halls. Johnson disclosed he has one hundred sixty five thousand dollars in the bank and the deal was expected to close this afternoon.
