New York August 25 An attempt by James B Hammond head of the Hammond Typewriter company to revoke a trust giving 620 shares of stock to employees based on length of service was argued in court today His counsel said he set up trustees in February believing he was near death He was later ruled sane and learned the stock was being distributed He had expected distribution after his death He has recovered most of the stock and the court reserved decision The stock was valued around 1100000 and included a provision that Hammond would receive 60000 a year for five years He now seeks to hold the gift in abeyance and the beneficiaries are restrained from retaining the balance
