George Martette of Walla Walla, owner of the Idle Hour saloon, was arrested after a preliminary hearing set for September 1. He is charged with violating game laws including hunting in the county without a valid Oregon license. State officials plan to attend trial with witnesses subpoenaed. A man posing as Dr Wil Mam Patton of Portland is jailed on forgery charges after passing a $20 check to J Tallman and a $50 bad check to the Golden Rule Store.
