California Firm to Purchase Ashland Power Company
An agreement was signed in Ashland Oregon for the sale of the Ashland Power and Light Company to Siskiyou Electric Power and Light Company. The California firm will take over the stock, pay a premium, and develop 22,000 horsepower from Fall Creek and Klamath River to supply Ashland and nearby towns with electricity, with lines crossing the Siskiyou mountains.
