Garments Shipped by Red Cross Auxiliaries in Four Months

Umatilla County chapter of the Red Cross reports large output for November through February. The auxiliary shipped 1088 eventeners, 174 pairs of stockings, 136 corsets, and 54 uniforms, plus 8674 total garments from the Tow piel department including 1250 pajama sets and 1373 bed jackets.

Mrs. Mariha Narclesa Sawtelle, former Fen-geton resident and mother of Hoyul M. Sawtelle, died yesterday in Los Angeles after stomach complications. Born Corvallis Oregon July 3, 1863, she married Frederick H. Sawtelle in 1873 and lived in Pendleton before moving to Los Angeles four years ago. Survived by five children, arrangements not set. body to Pendleton for burial.
