The $100,000 bond issue to fund a new high school and Lincoln School completion was sold at par to First National Bank of Pendleton at 4.5 percent interest for ten years with a possible ten year extension. Four bidders participated including two local banks and two outsiders. the First National Bank’s bid was accepted. The bonds are purchased by the bank as an investment and payable at National City Bank, New York. The school board then planned to travel to Portland to review Walling arrangements and refine high school room layouts with Architect Co. BE Trochman’s plans approved pending adjustments.
