Government Land Divided Between Sheepmen and Cattlemen
Jeanne Hagen from Bingham Springs reports summer range on government land surveyed around Bingham Springs. Sheep and cattle will share the area with nearly all stock in good condition and claims by settlers limited. Snow fell yesterday, grass grew rapidly a week ago, and May planned drives will move cattle and sheep to summer ranges. Hagen favors Shorthorn cattle for hardiness and persistence. John Narkus and other locals also moved cattle to summer range Greasewood Gulch and Desjaly Canyon.
