Plans for Day Caravan to Glenwood School Announced
The Marion County Day Caravan Committee held a public meeting at the Court House on October 9 1962 to explain County Day at Glenwood State School. Thirty five representatives heard remarks from James N Bethel and Carroll Anderson and see a film on Glenwood State School. The trip to Glenwood is set for October 25 by chartered bus costing 5.53 dollars round trip from Knoxville to Glenwood. Reservations close October 19 at 4 00 p m on a first come first serve basis up to 125 persons.

Thieves Loot Maple Buffet After Roof Break In
A break in at Fairlane Bowl and Maple Buffet in Knoxville Tuesday night netted thieves between 50 and 60 dollars in change plus tools and a toolbox valued at 200 dollars. They damaged two game machines and two pop machines, ransacked the office of manager Johnny Johnson, scattered papers, and entered through a roof hole into the men’s restroom before exiting via a rear door.
