Roberts Essay Award Contest For Marion County Students
High school students in Marion County are invited to enter a contest on the topic How can we educate the public to reduce accidents in the highway. Essays must be 750 to 1000 words, typewritten, unreadable by name, and delivered to Community National Bank and Trust by March 1. A committee will grade and select finalists. final decisions rest with the committee.

Winterset Huskies defeated Pella High Little Dutch 25-0 in their homecoming game. Breeding opened with an early interception for a touchdown, Beetle added a TD and extra point, giving Winterset a 13-0 lead after the first period.
