How Much Are Your Taxes In Low Income Scenario

A reader asks about tax liability for an annual income of $2 080 or less and wonders what portion of that earnings would go to taxes. The query seeks a simple explanation of tax rates and potential exemptions for very small incomes.

Tax Burden Breaks Down Hidden Levies Across Living Costs

An article by Royal F. Munger in the Chicago Daily News estimates total taxes at 480 dollars per year for a family with a 2080 dollar income. One hundred twenty dollars are included in rent, ninety six in food, twenty four in clothing and similar items, with indirect taxes totaling 240 more. The piece argues no one escapes taxes and calls for tax relief targeted at middle and small incomes.
