Bicycle accident injures Gerrit Tysseling on West First Street
Gerrit Tysseling was struck by a car driven by Rube Schakel while riding his bicycle home from the mill on West First Street. He attempted to cross before the vehicle reached him and was knocked to the pavement, suffering pretty bad bruises but the car did not pass over him.

G G Van Vliet was an Otley caller enroute from Des Moines to Pella. Mr and Mrs Frank Hendee of Colfax, also Mr and Mrs Crews and little daughter of Des Moines, were guests. A number from Otley attended the Pella baccalaureate sermon Sunday. Robert Renaud, ill for a few days, is much better now.
