Ladies of Central College Auxiliary Feted At Dinner
Forty board members of the Women's Auxiliary of Central College enjoyed an appreciation dinner at Graham Hall Monday evening. President Van der Lugt honored devoted service as the auxiliary has contributed over $81,000 to school causes including a building fund, furnishings, renovations, mic roscopes, and band uniforms. The group recently pledged $15,000 toward revamping chemistry labs, with over $5,000 raised already.

Obituary: Mrs Dirk Van Zomeren of Reasnor Dies at 77
Katherine Van Zomeren, 77, longtime Reasnor resident, died May 18 after a heart attack. Funeral services were held at Reasnor Methodist Church with Rev. Herbert Phillips. burial in Elk Creek Lutheran Cemetery. Survived by husband Dirk T. Van Zomeren, two sons, four daughters, a step-child and step-daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother and two sisters. She was born February 25, 1883, married twice, and belonged to Reasnor Methodist Church and WSCS. Funeral home Morgan-Loehrs led arrangements.
