The Pella Branch of the AAUW meets Saturday May 21 at 9 45 in Holland to view an art exhibit by members of the workshop group at the Legion II. A short meeting and reports from delegates Cunera van Emmerik Mary Anna Mts Lester Van Gorp Hostess Bethany Willing Workers Held devotion led by Dick Ver Ploeg. A letter of commendation was received by Warren De Haan on Dean's List at Long Beach College. Senior organ recital by Nancy Posthumus May 22 at 2 p.m. in Douwstra Chapel. reception to follow.

Mr. and Mrs. John De Haan of Route 3 Pella celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at the First Christian Reformed Church on Friday May 13 entertaining 100 guests with an open house program. Case De Haan MC Dr P Y De Jong spoke Dutch songs and a late 1935 Holland wedding text were read Ann Hoogendoorn played piano Tena De Haan and Nancy Hoogendoorn managed the guest book and a tray lunch by the Senior Helping Hand Society was served Mrs Hoogendoorn poured coffee.

Postema receives Fulbright Education Exchange Award
Don Postema senior at Calvin Seminary Grand Rapids Michigan has earned a United States Educational Exchange Award under the Fulbright Act. He will study theology at the Free University of Amsterdam and previously served as assistant pastor at LaGrave Christian Reformed Church. He is married to Elaine Vander Ploeg of Pella. The program funds tuition living expenses and passage with the aim of improving mutual understanding between the United States and other countries.
