The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville announces a Billy Graham Chair of Evangelism with first professor Dr. Kenneth Chafin from Southwestern Seminary Fort Worth. Grant of 30000 funds three years funds endowment goal 500000 for materials library field evangelism and professorship. The piece emphasizes evangelical zeal and biblical preaching as essential to church life and asks readers to attend Bible believing churches and preachers.

Wayne Hugen, Newton Iowa senior sportscaster, earns KCUI Key for outstanding service to KCUI during four years. Certificate recipients include Maureen Croak from Calumet City Illinois Karen Stallings from Denver Colorado Jerry Franje of Pella and Vernon Kooy from New Brunswick New Jersey.
Two Central College senior English majors plan graduate study at Bowling Green State University in Ohio next fall. Sharon McClintock of Chicago received a $2600 teaching assistantship, and David Hay of Northville earned a $2600 NDEA Fellowship. Both belonged to Alpha Zeta Mu and Sigma Tau Delta, with Hay serving as Sigma Tau Delta president and McClintock as secretary. Hay also held junior class president, belonged to student cabinet, and earned four football letters and three baseball letters. McClintock was a member of the Association of Women Students, lived in the French House, and was yearbook editor in 1964.
