The 1965 Challenge of the Future Angus tour will run August 12 13 14 in central South Dakota. Glen Bratcher of the American Angus Association says co sponsors include the South Dakota Angus Association and the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association. The tour showcases breeding bulls to meet progressive commercial cattlemen needs with visits to Angus cow herds, demonstrations and panel discussions. The thirteenth annual convention of the Iowa Association for Retarded Children is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday June 12 and 13 at Hotel Chieftain in Council Bluffs. More than 400 delegates from 86 units are expected with county units assisting including Adair Harrison Pottawattamie Mills Cass Montgomery Page Adams Paton and Shelby. Workshops will focus on Iowa's Comprehensive Plan to Combat Mental Retardation.
