Pella Builds One of Iowa's Finest Municipal Plants
Pella's municipal power lighting and water system nears completion after expending about 90000 in the past year. Superintendent M M Humphrey oversees readiness for final test as Des Moines Iron and Bridge completes water mains connections. The plant features 60 cycle Alis Chalmers generators, Westinghouse switchboard, extensive underground conduit, and 60 mile copper wiring. A big dedication celebration is planned with test runs and public notice forthcoming.
