Van De Geest Family Visits Feature In Pella Notes
Mr and Mrs Anne Van De Geest Julie and Larry from Mo line Illinois visited Saturday with grandfather Gerrit Van De Geest and grandmother Maggie Ustermarkt at the Home for the Aged. Sunday visitors with Maggie Ustermarkt included children and grandchildren. The group also included Julius Uitermarkt Doris Gerrit Uitermarkt Abe De Zwarte Linda De Zwarte and others visiting hospitals in Iowa City. Mrs Lilly Vander Linden and daughter Maxine Fertig visited in town. Miss Mary Sytsma accompanied the group to Iowa City. The Pella Chronicle May 24 1962.

Obituary for Dr Harm H Kramer longtime Pella Osteopath
Dr Harm H Kramer a practicing osteopathic physician in Pella for 32 years died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday morning May 15 1962. Born August 19 1892 in Butler County Iowa he studied at Ames and Des Moines Still College of Osteopathy graduating 1926. He practiced in Oskaloosa then moved to Pella in 1930 with his wife Dr Nellie Davis. A World War I veteran and commander of Van Veen Van Hemert Post 89 he supported Kiwanis and golf club activities, leaving a legacy in the local medical and civic communities.
