Mrs John Hartsock was honored on Sunday for her birthday which fell Monday May 6. Guests from Cedar Rapids Des Moines and Oskaloosa joined in a birthday dinner. Mrs Lille Schultz stayed through Friday. The Lynnville Sally school home economics class held a style show in the gym with about 40 girls modeling two garments each and displaying textile crafts and handwork.
Dr. P. De Jong of Pella led the services Sunday May 5 at the First Christian Reformed Church.
Four youths in the church family made professions of faith in the morning. Names include Paul Groenenboom Rosemary Boender Elaine Veldhuizen and Mrs Shirley Van Zee. Mr and Mrs James Van Wyk and Ronnie visited at the J G Newen home on their Ottumwa trip.
Cedar High School held May 14 commencement with Rev. A T Maberry delivering the address. Baccalaureate was Sunday at Cedar Methodist Church with Rev Woeate. The junior senior banquet occurred April 26 at Ottumwa Country Club. Graduates listed include Cecil Brown, William Cummings, William Ward, Dean Randell, DeVerne Ostersom, Ia Teseie, Judy Joey McBarnes, Jean Netad Men Mau.
