Ralph Edwards aged 18 pleaded guilty in district court to manslaughter and driving intoxicated in the death of Merlin Lee. He received eight years imprisonment with $350 fine paid by his grandfather, suspended on good behavior and paroled under strict abstinence conditions. Driving while intoxicated charge was dismissed with license revocation. Police lack evidence to charge the seller of intoxicants.
