Do Not Allow Clovers to be Closely Graze
In a pasture, close grazing is discouraged while clovers establish. Experts from Iowa State College recommend controlled grazing with a nurse crop like small grain to safeguard seedings, prevent smothering, and build forage reserves for winter. Early grazing is possible after a headstart, but avoid overgrazing new seedings and keep the nurse crop clipped.
