Margaret Marie Van Zee 71 of 506 Franklin St Pella died Monday May 3 at Pella Community Hospital Services set for Thursday May 6 at First Reformed Church with a family prayer at 1 15 p m and public service at 1 30 p m Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery under Pella Garden Chapel direction She was born August 16 19 and married Dick Van Zee February 21 1917 He preceded her in death Survived by two sons two daughters nine grandchildren and a great grandchild three sisters A complete obituary will appear later in the Chronicle

Linda Asbey won the Bill Riley Talent Search Competition sponsored by Sully Lions last Thursday after a tap dance routine. Doug Terpstra took second with a vocal solo "Shortnin Bread." Greta Moes Phyllis Terlouw Nancy Vos earned third for "Marvelous and Wonderful" and "Above All Else." Honorable mentions went to Louise and Diane Earp for two songs and a North Mahaska combo.
