A collection of brief thanks from multiple families in Pella Iowa acknowledging cards flowers prayers visits and other acts of kindness during hospitalizations bereavements and recoveries. Recipients named include Rev Ringwald Rev Kammer and Rev Pon tier with hospitals Maytag Factory Dr Singer Dr Kanis and Dr Van Zee among those thanked. Before the ceremony four banquets occurred at the Breeze House in Ankeny at 7 30 p m. After the banquet he and eight other men were installed into Phi Theta Pi. To join the fraternity a member must maintain a 3 0 B average or better. Keith hails from Knoxville Iowa.

In Flemington New Jersey the Democrat complains that Postmaster General Gronouski plans to require business mail users to zip code and pre sort bulk mail by 1967 and to mark sacked mail for zip code centers by July this year. The critic asks for better mail service and notes little improvement.
A cyclist riding near Thal Park was hit by a car driven by Diane F Potter of Buffalo Center. Damage to the Volkswagen was estimated at 150 dollars for hood and windshield. Patrolman Braashart investigated the incident.
Dear Sir, Donald Wells of Iowa State College commends the Chronicle’s Community Service Special Project on rural zoning as solid, down-to-earth interpretive reporting. He asks for extra tearsheets for teaching use and notes its potential as a teaching example.
A twelve year old, Joe Ho ward Stientjes, received bruises and was treated at Pella Hospital after a car bicycle accident on April 4. The Pella police report notes he emerged from Cen- (text cut)
An accident occurred on March 24 at the corner of Franklin and West Third when James W. Huyser of Pella failed to yield and was struck by Karla N. Naaktgeboren of Pella. Huyser faces failure to yield charges. damages were $396.22 to his rear end and $250 to Naaktgeboren’s front end.
Icy roads blamed for a collision on Main Street 50 feet south of Washington on March 24. Wilma L. VanderWerff of rural Reasner stopped at a light while Marlene A. Diekman of Pella failed to stop. Damages totaled 250 dollars. Chief Robert Hous er led the investigation.
