Allotment for AAA Payments in County
Marion County's AAA central committee reviews farm allotments for 1948 soil conservation practices. The government allocation is $49,000, far below the roughly $150,000 sought by Marion County farmers to meet conservation intentions. Previous year funds were higher, with 1947 at $122,800, about 69 percent of demand, and Congress considers a pending emergency agricultural support bill to increase aid.
