Faster Gains in Hogs Less Feed
A new discovery called APF raises hog daily gains from 1.36 to 1.76 pounds and reduces feed use by 12 percent. Experiments at Town State College show 29 percent gain improvement using a plant and animal protein mix. APF may extend protein supplies, lower costs, and could influence Iowa hog feeding practices.
