The Pella foundry, formerly part of the Den Citader Plant and then moved to Oskaloosa, is now run independently by H W Hesselink Henry Carson and Leon Van Ee. Nine workers join these leaders, including F A Hesslink Ralph Perry Chris Mol and John Van Arkel. The plant handles Woodrow Washer Co and outside work, currently producing cast iron manholes covers for the City of Pella. The facility houses two blast furnaces a separate aluminum casting furnace plus grinding and core rooms.

Mrs Murray Van Hemert of Cordova visited her sister, Mrs Leo Allard, Tuesday afternoon.
Rev Frank De Jong asserts women are emotionally stronger than men in a Sunday sermon drawn from Luke 23 verses 27 and 31. He cites the crowd, including women, who followed Jesus to the cross as the basis for his view.
