The Marion County Spelling Bee will be held in Knoxville on Saturday April 2 at 1 15 PM in the Court House. Central debate tourney closes work and plans state trip
Central’s debate squad finished its season with a March 16 four school tournament at Central. Sixteen students took part this year, with sixty debates entered. Five debaters plus others will represent Central at the state contest in Des Moines March 24 to 26. A ten student delegation heads to the Pi Kappa Delta tourney in Topeka April 18 to 22. Miss Cunera Van Emmerik directs the program, with other forensics under William Gould and Dramatics.
