Express engineer credits God as he stops train early
During a rail strike in England a volunteer engineer aboard the London to Liverpool express managed to bring the train into Liverpool 25 minutes early. Passengers praised him, but a pale figure in the cab uttered a final remark about learning how to stop the train minutes before. In a separate moment, Mrs. Margaret Ludford of Chicago faced questioning in court and replied with a terse statement ending with a garbled remark about tea.
