Kathryn A Klyn daughter of Sieger Van der Wiel and Sophia Wouda was born January 22 1898 at Otley Iowa and died May 27 1947 at Mahaska County Hospital Oskaloosa after major surgery. She married Gerrit A Klyn January 8 1918 and thirteen children were born. Survived by husband nine sons and three daughters, three grandchildren and a sister. Funeral May 29 1947 at Second Christian Reformed Church Pella Iowa. Interment Oakwood cemetery.

John Hendricks of Galesburg Iowa died at Wood's Hospital State Center Iowa at 12 10 p m Thursday May 27 1947 aged 69 He was born December 24 1877 in Galesburg and lived on the homestead He was unmarried and survived by an uncle Fred Kling and nephews William Freeman Lester and Earl Hendricks all of whom were mentioned with varying involvement in his life He was a lifelong member of St Andrew's Lutheran Church Elk Creek Iowa and was preceded in death by his parents and one brother George Hendricks.
