Family trio returns from Northwest trip to Anaconda Montana
Mrs J I Hiemstra and Mr and Mrs A A Van Roekel completed a Montana visit to see J C Visser in Anaconda. They toured Yellowstone Park viewing Tower Falls Old Faithful and Paint Pots, passing snow fields at 10317 feet. The group recalled 1929 Iowa visits and stayed with the Rawdon and Wells households.

A travel group accompanying a family tour Montana and Idaho during July visited Deerlodge and the New Gold Creek mining area enjoying dredge operations and a Butte School of Mines visit. They toured Anaconda Smelter Works, Salmon Idaho scenery along Big Hole Creek, and the Battle of Big Hole memorial. They crossed the Continental Divide and saw rivers Jefferson Madison and Gallatin join the Missouri, observing pine forests, rainfall, and new growth on dieing White Mountain pines. The trip concluded July 16 with fond memories and family reunions.
