Adolph Price, 83, a prominent North English retired farmer, was found dead in his apartment last Friday noon. The body was discovered by Ellsworth Butler Wade and another youth after Price had not been seen since Wednesday. A man struck his palm, swallowed a dime by accident. Doctors chose not to intervene as he had no ill effects except occasional coughing. Six years and two months later a sudden cough expelled the coin, now believed lodged in the upper lung and causing slight soreness.
Storm damages Fremont as wind rain and hail lash town
A wind, rain and hail storm hit Fremont at 6 pm Thursday causing extensive damage. A plate glass window at Humphrey hatchery blew into a Knoxville car owned by D. E. Tyree. Mrs. W. C. McDowell and Alva Steele farm buildings toppled. a large tree at the Wotan brothers’ home fell. Rural telephone lines south of town were down. hail damage to corn was light. Grain blown about in fields. The storm extended about a mile south of Fremont.
