Budget notes on 1966 school year Otley bus run salaries

The board plans an extra noon bus run for Otley kindergarten students and adds 1.1 mills to the budget for 1966-1967. Teacher starting salaries in Pella are among the lowest in Iowa and comparisons show a deficit of 150 to 680 dollars depending on location and experience. Wage raises for professional and non professional staff total 2.4 mills. The July balance cannot fund ongoing expenses, so about 30,000 dollars will come from taxes, roughly 1.5 mills.
