Ralph Huisman Sr and family spent a pleasant June vacation fishing in northern Minnesota near the Canadian border returning June 9. They later joined relatives in Indiana to fetch grandchildren for a trip, celebrating Ralph Sr and wife’s 48th wedding anniversary with relatives. Christina Van Den Berg returns to Pella after four weeks caring for grandchildren in Prairie City. A Central College faculty member Maurice Birdsall vacationed in Europe noting refugee stories from Hungary and East Germany. The Hughes family enjoyed a month’s vacation at homes in Pella and Oswego, with Mrs Hughes expected to return. John W. and Cort Iden celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Monday July 5.
