Abiding in Christ Faith and Fruit in Daily Life
A sermon links Jesus as both man and God to the call to bear fruit through abiding in him. It contrasts seekers who serve selfishly with disciples who test teachings in daily life, urging prayer, charity, truth, and tithing as deposits in the spiritual bank. The piece cites Galatians 5 16-25 and an Illinois covenant meeting example.

Shall State Supt. Be Appointed By Board
Gov John Hammill proposed appointing the State Superintendent of Public Instruction by the State Board of Education instead of election. The idea aims to depoliticize education and place the department on a professional footing with state universities and colleges.
