Garden of Gethsemane and Jerusalem Wailing Wall Tour
G W Shockley describes a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane near Jerusalem, noting its olive trees, Franciscan and Russian sites, and the Church of St Mary Magdalene. He then reviews the Wailing Wall’s crowds, prayers, and the stark contrast to the district’s poverty and beggars. The Dome of the Rock and Temple Mount legend are explored, with details on architecture and religious traditions surrounding the Holy Rock.
