DHIA Training Course Slated For January 14 to 31
A two percent week training course for potential DHIA supervisors will be held at Town State College from January 14 to 31, per extension dairy specialist Don ald Voelker. Local associations are urged to find men to train as supervisors due to potential losses of current supervisors and a manpower squeeze. Sixteen associations ceased operation last year, leaving 91 still active in the state. Voelker notes older, retired farmers are being targeted as younger men enlist in the military. Interested attendees may contact their county extension director or Voelker at Morrill Hall, Town State College, Ames.
