Automatic windward airstrip landing system evolved

A 500 foot long landing platform enables airplanes to land with a gliding motion by automatic control that triggers at set wind speeds. Features include windward docking, self release of engines, and a landing stage designed to counter breezes and shocks. Also notes on a windward hop start and a 60 to 80 foot wide platform.

Cleaning Rusty Crosscut Saws

A simple method to restore a rusty crosscut saw involves drilling a vertical hole in a stump center, cutting across to form a notch, inverting the saw so teeth project, filling the hole with fine sand, moistening, and rubbing the saw as if sawing to scour it clean and bright.
