Christmas Music Shines in Pella Holiday Concerts
The Pella area enjoyed two Christmas concerts showcasing Pella Christian High School bands and choirs and Pella Community High School’s Christmas program. The Christian High band performed The Star-Spangled Banner and The Christmas Suite among others, while senior and junior choirs offered blended, well rehearsed selections with organ and a cappella pieces. The next night the Pella County High vocal department under Ann Tysséling presented a colorful program in their auditorium with a procession of candy-lit singers, reflecting evergreen stage decor and lights. Multiple ensembles and soloists delivered polished numbers, with praise for directors and accompanists and notes on the festive season enhancing Pella’s community spirit.
