Editors Meet at Knoxville for Southern Iowa Group Meet
The winter meeting of the Southern Iowa Editorial Association was held in Knoxville on December 5 and 6. About thirty visiting editors attended as locals hosted elaborate events at the Olympic theater and K P hall with toasts, music, and a luncheon at the State Hospital for Inebriates. The Express and Journal editors were praised for a smooth gathering. The 1913 summer session will be in Keokuk.

First Reformed choir presents The Risen King cantata
Last Sunday evening the First Reformed church choir performed The Risen King cantata by Schnecker directed by Prof Sadler who also played organ. Miss Marie Lautenbach sang Mary. Family Reunion at Killduff Area Home Hosts Many Relatives
On Sunday December 1 1912 the Sharp home north of Killduff buzzed with kin as Mrs Snell and her husband John of Newton visited before heading to Florida. A surprise dinner gathered children and grandchildren including John Snell Louia Snell Mrs Cash McDonough and Mrs Artie Sparks. The Snells left for Florida December 4 accompanying Mrs Snell’s health needs, with Mr Swihart of Newton joining. Louis Snell’s birthday on Monday the 2nd also marked the gathering.
