The Pella High football team was honored at a Pep Club dinner Friday night. Pep club girls prepared a delicious dinner. Informal speeches followed by Coach Rysdam, Mr. Andrew, assistant coach Ray Rouw, co-captains Carl Ganss and Bob De Ronde, and MVP Ganss. Dolores McConeghey led the event.
Editorial laments poor English usage by seniors and popular opinion, noting students perform well in class but slip outside. It urges remedy, argues against treating English as unnecessary, and suggests applying learned rules to reduce reliance on required study while improving communication.
Last year three juniors John Vesselink Kenny Vander Linden and Jean Leu earned Quill and Scroll pins for membership in this International Honorary Society. Chapters exist nationwide and in Canada Australia England and New Zealand. Membership requires junior standing top third in class and superior work in journalism. Advised and approved by the Executive Secretary. Eligible students may try this year.

Pep club at Pella High sold Dutchman pins for 10 cents to raise money for a banquet benefiting the football boys. The pin features a green and white wearing P. H. S. student with a megaphone and the inscription Yea Dutch men. Students show loyalty by purchasing the pins.
