Local residents and relatives travel widely visiting family in Iowa Minnesota South Dakota Wisconsin and Michigan. Many return home after weeks away while others plan trips to Mount West Coast and East Coast destinations.
Mrs. Jacob Aalbers of Pella and Gerrit Van de Geest of Pella admitted Monday August 6. Mrs. Ramon Van Ekeren of Fetls admitted Monday August. Mrs. Ronald Ver Meer of Pella admitted Tuesday August 7. Mrs. Jelle W Menninga of Renanon admitted Tuesday August. Kathleen Vander Ploeg of Monroe admitted Tuesday August 7.
Miss Brown daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Brown of Superior Nebraska formerly of Pella was graduated Sunday evening from the Evangelical School of Nursing. Commencement was at the Methodist Church in Marshalltown Iowa. She earned her high school diploma in 1959 at Pella High School and will start work October 1 at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville Iowa.
Mr and Mrs Thomas Mitchell of Otley announce daughter Dianna Mae born August 6 at Pella Community Hospital weighing 8 lb 4 oz. Grandparents are Mr and Mrs Robert Mitchell of Otley and Mr and Mrs Hubert Boas of Riverdale. Mr and Mrs Dick Van Zomeren of Creston announce daughter Amy Jo born August 2 weighing about seven and a half pounds with grandparents Neal Van Wyk and G. J. Van Zomeren of Pella. Mr and Mrs John Van Waardhuizen of Leighton announce daughter Andrea Lynn born July 29 at Mahaska Hospital Oska loosa. Mrs Van Waardhuizen is Pearl Bogaards, daughter of Andrew Bogaards of Pella.
